The Spirit of the Sea Festival – Phil Dickson

I entered another new adventure on the BC Day Monday, heading to a festival I had never attended:  Spirit of the Sea Festival.

The Spirit of the Sea Festival is a weekend full of free fun for the whole family, including a children’s carnival and parade, beach games, races, fireworks & continuous live entertainment for all.

Driven by the dedication and spirit of community partners, donors and volunteers, the festival has evolved into a world-class event.

After picking up fish and chips for lunch from Moby Dick, we headed to The Spirit Stage at Semiahmoo Park in White Rock.

We only went for one thing and that was to watch Phil Dickson play live:

If you have never checked out Phil Dickson’s music, you really should:

Phil Dickson plays music, he is our son’s favourite singer and the YouTube video above is his favourite Phil Dickson song!

Afterwards, my son and I headed to the beach to walk through the water.  Was much cooler on this day so we did not attempt to go swimming in the ocean.  Perhaps on our next trip to the coast!
